Job Description:
The firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Services Litigation Attorney to join our team. This position is fully remote, with a base in Irvine, CA. As an attorney in our financial services litigation group, you will represent clients in a wide variety of consumer and commercial disputes. You will handle matters across a range of legal issues including lender liability, claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), depository disputes, enforcement of collateral agreements and guarantees, vendor disputes, and tort claims arising from branch operations and REO portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent financial institutions, including banks, lenders, servicers, and leasing companies in state and federal court litigation.
- Handle complex legal disputes across multiple areas of financial services, including lender liability, FDCPA and FCRA claims, depository disputes, and collateral enforcement.
- Advise clients on legal risks and strategies for resolving disputes in a cost-effective manner.
- Draft and review legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Manage all stages of litigation, from case inception through trial or settlement, with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- 3+ years of experience in financial services litigation, with a focus on consumer and commercial disputes.
